Next Truck Simulator updates add Steam Workshop support

American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 never have to end.

Truck Simulator developer SCS Software will implement Steam Workshop support for the two latest series entries.

Not a team to do things by halves, SCS has developed a mod uploading app and is putting together a wiki to help would-be modders access resources and benefit from community experience.

Testers are already using and uploading mods on a busy beta page, and players can expect Steam Workshop to come out of beta for American Truck Simulator with update 1.2, and for Euro Truck Simulator 2 in version 1.23.

"This feature is a really long time coming, considering that all of our projects always were popular for user modifications," SCS said in an announcement post, understating the matter a little.

The developer seems super enthusiastic about complementing its own admirable mod support with Valve's ridiculous easy mod subscription service. No release date as yet, with best guess at "a couple of weeks".
