Amazon Fire TV launch plans beyond the US are currently unclear

Amazon Fire TV was announced for launch in the US last night, but what about other territories? As it happens the retailer is saying very little at this time.
Speaking with CVG, an Amazon representative said, "Fire TV is not available outside the US at this time and we're not able to speculate on future plans."
That's it, and while it makes sense for the US retail giant to launch on its home turf first, it's likely Fire TV will make its way to other shores in due time.
