Amazon delays Animal Crossing: New Horizons shipments to next week

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out tomorrow, but some Amazon customers have received notice of a delivery delay.

Many Amazon customers who pre-ordered Animal Crossing: New Horizons have received notice that the game will not arrive on release day as planned. Instead, the shipment has been pushed to Tuesday, March 26.

If you pre-ordered from Amazon, you may wish to check your mail to see if your copy has also been delayed. Various customers on Twitter and reddit have received notice regarding the delay.

Whether the issue has to do with limited stock or Amazon prioritizing certain items due to coronavirus is unknown.

Earlier this week, the company sent notice to vendors that it would no longer accept non-essential items to be stocked in its warehouses until April 5.

If an item is already in the warehouse, it will be shipped, but otherwise, sellers will have to ship items themselves instead of through Amazon.

Essential items include household products such as disinfectants and toilet papers,  medical supplies, and other high-demand products (thanks, Business Insider).

While you wait on your shipment, here's a reviews round-up for the game and you should also give the VG247 review a read.
