Agent trademark renewed by Take-Two

Agent may still be a live project over at Rockstar, following the discovery of a renewed trademark for the game.

The filing was submitted on July 18 and applies to a variety of video game and multimedia uses.

The trademark filing suggests that the game's logo has remained unchanged following this renewal as the filing reads, "The mark consists of the word "AGENT" with the shape of a handgun comprising the internal section of the letter "G"."

Take-Two's filing follows the appearance of Agent on a Rockstar New York employee's resume, which stated the game was still in-development. Check out our report on the matter here.

Agent was announced in July, 2007 and was pitched as a Rockstar North spy game set during the cold war. Rockstar's initial press release said it would take place in, "The world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations"

What do you make of the above? Could Agent now be a next-gen project?

Thanks Siliconera.
