Activision to announce winner of $500k indie contest "within a few weeks"

Activision's told Kotaku it will announce the winners of its $500k indie games contest within the next few weeks.

The contest was first announced by Acti boss Bobby Kotick at DICE earlier this year, but the deadline to show its winners passed without a mention.

But it's still happening.

"We've concluded the first round of judging and have picked the top 5 entries," a rep told the site.

"The judges are in the process of picking a winner. We'll have an announcement within a few weeks."
