In an investor call which followed the release of record third quarter financials, Activision confirmed it is to release another two Guitar Hero games in its first financial quarter - beginning April 1 - with another on the way this autumn.

For competitive reasons, the company didn't add any detail, aside from saying that 2008 would be a major year for the expansion of the Guitar Hero franchise, particularly in Europe, where sales lagged behind those in the US. Execs said that hardware shipments in Europe were being increased to rectify this.
