Mike Morhaime has said that Blizzard plans on updating lower and mid-level content in WoW so that it is on-par with current expansions on a graphic and gameplay level.

Speaking during the company's financial call to investors, Morhaime revealed that an overhaul will take place with the release of Cataclysm, and he also said that more content like the cosmetic pets will be released later in the year.

He also chatted about the integration of Battle.net and Facebook to make it easier to find your friends.

Still no exact date on the Beta for Cataclysm, but the expansion is still on track for release later in the year, according to Morhaime.

Bobby Kotick added that the current subscriber pool is still at over 11M users, and with the expansion, the company expects more players to return.

The numbers should also go up once Wrath of the Lich King is released in China.

Today, over on MMO Champion, some pictures form the Alpha test of the game were leaked, along with quite a bit of  information on achievements, titles, professions, world maps and more.

A closed Beta is expected to start “soon” per Blizzard.
