Ace Attorney 5: Capcom "planning" on western release

Ace Attorney 5 is likely to escape Japan for a happy home in your western 3DS.

Franchise publisher Capcom told Pocket Gamer that it is "planning to release Ace Attorney 5 in the west" and promised to share more news soon.

Although the Ace Attorney series so far has been quite popular, the latest instalment's localisation was cast into some doubt as Capcom is yet to bring over the most recent Miles Edgeworth spin-off, or to confirm a western release for Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, expected in Japan this year.

Ace Attorney 5 was announced in January but was given its first real detailing this week; it has been confirmed as a 3DS title with full 3D character models, and will be playable at TGS 2012.

Thanks, Kotaku.
