A Total War Saga: Troy officially revealed, coming to Steam in 2020

As leaked yesterday, the next Total War Saga game is indeed Troy.

A Total War Saga: Troy has officially been revealed today by Sega and Creative Assembly. Inspired by Homer’s Iliad, the game takes place in the late Bronze Age, featuring Hellenic War-era heroes such as Achilles and Hector.

Because of the mythical nature of many of these stories, Creative Assembly says Troy will examine them "through a historical lens." Troy will retain Total War's renowned turn-based, grand strategy layer with the different diplomacy and trade systems. On the battlefield, things play out in real-time with a dose of fantasy elements such as hero units.

This setup should be familiar to Total War: Warhammer fans, though Troy brings a few new twists, as Saga games tend to have. A Total War Saga: Troy is coming to PC (Steam) sometime in 2020.
