A quick video preview of surface exploration in Elite: Dangerous

Now you can look at the outside of your ship! What a world.

A new Elite: Dangerous Horizons video shows off one of the things you might care to do when you're able to land on planets: drive around in a buggy looking at your grounded spaceship (in this case, a Federal Corvette).

Getting your boots (or wheels) down on the planet's surface is just one of the many planned features and improvements coming with Horizons, which will deliver new content over the course of months rather than in one big hit. It will be available both as an expansion for existing players or, more thriftily, as a bundled re-release for newcomers.

You can play Elite: Dangerous on Mac, PC and Xbox One, and a PS4 version is in the works.
