This new 'Carriage Chase' clip shows off one of the film's action sequences.

The movie, directed by Australian Justin Kurzel (whose previous films, The Snowtown Murders and Macbeth, were pretty incredible), tells a plot pretty close to the original game: Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar (also Fassbender), learning the ways of the assassins as he goes.

This is the second new clip from the film released this week. The film's getting a fairly big marketing push, but whether or not it becomes the first videogame film adaptation to garner a positive critical reception remains to be seen.

The movie releases December 21 in the US, December 26 in Australia, and January 1 in the UK.
