A Game of Dwarves to be equal parts 'creation, challenge, management'

Zeal Game Studios has a very specific recipe in mind for the fruity cocktail that is A Game of Dwarves,

In a new developer video released at GDC 2012, Zeal CEO Robin Flodin said the game is to be one part creation, one part management and one part challenge.

In the initial stages, players are free to decorate and build as they please, designing whatever they like and still making progress, but as the dwarven colony expands, they will meet new challenges in managing a growing economy, and using tower defence- like strategies to cope with increasingly hostile monsters.

Flodin said each game world could last up to 100 hours in one game, and every new game has a brand new randomly generated world.

Seemingly drawing inspiration from Dwarf Fortress, Minecraft, and social time management titles, A Game of Dwarves is expected on PC and PlayStation 3 but has not been dated. Check out the full developer diary below.
