A Sony spokesperson has confirmed to GameSpot that the PS3 Slim has sold over 60k units in the month and a half it has been on sale in the region, also outselling the Xbox 360 and Wii.

"I can confirm that in excess of 60,000 units of the PS3 120GB have been sold since launch," a Sony rep told the site.

"I can also confirm that since the launch of the new model on September 3 [in Australia], total sales for the period since introduction have outperformed our competition.”
