360 Slim UK release surpases PS2, PS3 Slim launches, says Chart-Track

Chart-Track's announced that 360 Slim's UK launch has surpassed those of both PS2 and PS3 Slim.

When it launched in September last year, Chart-Track boss Dorian Bloch told VG247 that sales of PS3 Slim were over 1,000 percent in the UK.

From GfK's website:

"Microsoft’s new, improved, slimmer Xbox 360 console, the Xbox 360 250GB (or Xbox 360S) achieves the biggest launch in the UK for a 'revised' home console, surpassing the launches of both PS2 Slim and PS3 Slim and recording over two days around the same as the original Xbox 360's launch sales total back in week 48 2005.

"This is even more impressive when you take into account that the original Xbox 360 was launched across two versions (Pro and Core)."

This morning's news is the cherry on top of what must already be a good day's cake for Microsoft, with Crackdown 2 holding the number one spot in the UK software charts for a second week running.
