$300 lifetime subs return to Champions Online

championsonline22

Cryptic's reopened lifetime subscriptions to Champions Online, despite the MMO being on the verge of going free-to-play.

In return for your significant outlay, you'll receive:

  • The game
  • A Foxbat action figure
  • Art Deco/Art Deco Future costume sets
  • Eight character slots
  • The VIP room in Club Caprice
  • Exclusive costume piece
  • "Vanguard" Perk and title
  • "Forum goodies"

Cryptic said late last month that the game would be switching to a free-play model, with subs now being named "gold" users to free-players' "silver".

Champions Online follows several high profile games into the free-play model, such as D&D Online and LOTRO.

It first released in September 2009.

Thanks, Massively.
