Forza Horizon 5 takes the series to Mexico in November

Forza Horizon 5 has been announced by Microsoft, and it's taking the series to Mexico.

One of the nice surprises at today's Xbox Bethesda Games E3 2021 Showcase has been the reveal of the next Forza racing game: Forza Horizon 5.

The game will add a new mode; Expedition mode. This will be a journey that will take you to all the diverse locations in Mexico via an 'adventurous campaign'. And that'll let you see more of 'the biggest ever Forza Horizon game'.

Check out the trailer below.

'Your ultimate Horizon adventure awaits! Explore the vibrant and ever-evolving open world landscapes of Mexico with limitless, fun driving action in hundreds of the world’s greatest cars,' reads the blurb for the trailer.

Microsoft appears to be breaking tradition with its Forza release schedule, as the most recent game we received has been the exceptional (and exceptionally well supported) Forza Horizon 4. Typically, a Horizon is followed up by a mainline Forza Motorsport, but the next mainline Forza looks to be a revolution that Turn 10 is taking its time with.

We're not complaining, either, because Horizon has always been Forza's more accessible sub-series.

Forza Horizon 5 launches for Xbox and PC on November 9.
