Turbo Overkill is a unique FPS where you have a chainsaw for a leg

The upcoming first-person shooter, Turbo Overkill, from independent studio Trigger Happy Interactive just got its first gameplay trailer – and it looks phenomenal.

If you’re craving a shooter that gives you the opportunity to slice and dice your enemies with style and ultraviolence, then Turbo Overkill is the game for you.

As you can see in the five-minute gameplay trailer embedded below, Turbo Overkill is a fast-paced, violent FPS that puts the emphasis on momentum and rhythm as you sweep the streets of cyberpunk thugs, making things safer for those pedestrians that dare to travel out-and-about without a chainsaw for a leg.

"Flesh fused machines wreak havoc on the crime-ridden streets of Neo-paradise," says a brief description of the game over on its Steam page. "As the recently activated Street Cleaner, you have been tasked with one job... kill them all."

The game seems to have everything for players that want some quick, reflex-focused shooting in their life. You can dual-wield pistols, you can slide into engagements, you can wall run, you can butcher your enemies with your mechanical appendage once you jump on them from on high… you can do an awful lot, all in the name of keeping the streets clean (in the metaphorical sense anyway. There’s a lot of blood).

Honestly, the game looks somewhere between Vanquish and Doom (2016) – and that’s not a bad thing at all, is it? If you’ve got a hankering to get violent in a murder-ballet and dish out justice in a unique and obtuse way, this is the game for you. Turbo Overkill even has a mini-gun that can transform into a flamethrower mid-fight – what more could you ask for?

Trigger Happy Interactive has listed Turbo Overkill for a release on PC soon. You can check out the game’s Steam page here.
