Three new surprise maps added to CoD: Modern Warfare

Franchise favourite Killhouse makes a return.

Activision has added three new maps to 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

As spotted by Modern Warzone, Killhouse from 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is now available in the 2019 reboot. There's also a 24/7 Mosh Pit playlist for this map. Meanwhile, two brand new maps - Al-Raab Airbase and Drainage – have made their debut in the shooter.

Neither of these will apparently have their own playlist and at the moment they are only available for private matches. There's no word yet when – or if – they'll be available for public games. There's been no official word from developer Infinity Ward or publisher Activision about these matches or any kind of patch notes. Season 6 of Modern Warfare content ended in December; currently, all seasonal content is focused around 2020's Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.

Al-Raab Airbase is a bit of a strange map, while Drainage is designed for close-quarters combat.

These maps were added alongside the mid-season 2 update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. That patch has introduced a number of changes to the game, including the AUG tactical rifle being nerfed and making the file size of Warzone much smaller.

Meanwhile, a few new powerful killstreaks have been added to the battle royale mode, including Foresight, which gives players a huge tactical advantage, and the bombastic Bombardment.
