It looks like the Wild Hunt is coming to The Witcher Season 2

Netflix has been teasing elements of the upcoming second season of The Witcher on Netflix, but now something the broadcaster perhaps doesn't want to show off has been spotted.

Ahead of the second season of The Witcher Netflix series airing next year, we've already seen the opening scene of the upcoming season as well as hearing some information about recast characters.

Now, though, it looks like we've been given a look at something we perhaps shouldn't have, as Redanian Intelligence (a reliable Witcher source with a proven record in getting things right) has confirmed the Wild Hunt is coming to The Witcher Season 2.

Apparently, the images shown in the embedded tweet above show off the infamous horde of specters that roam the sky during storms and bring disaster in action. Amusingly, these grim and foreboding ghouls are shown riding across the beach on a sunny day at Saunton Sands in Devon, UK – a far cry from what you'd expect from the horsemen of death.

Anyone that's played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will know just how important these folks are to the story. They're so integral to Geralt's arc that they even get a place in the game's title. Funny that.

The Netflix show has been a huge success for the streaming company, and as a result of the series’ blossoming popularity, developer CD Projekt Red has seen an absolutely massive increase in sales of the game.

It stands to reason that an arc tied more closely to the events we've seen in the most recent game will fuel another surge in sales when the series – finally – launches. Netflix has not yet announced when it'll be released.
