GamesMaster book has some pretty wild Kickstarter rewards

The campaign has already successfully met its funding goal.

A book about the UK TV show GamesMaster has taken to crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and has some rather strange rewards.

The GamesMaster: The Oral History campaign went live yesterday, March 25, and has already hit its £45,000 funding goal; at the time of writing is at £47,658. But as well as the typical slew of rewards for higher contributions on Kickstarter, this campaign has some slightly more out there incentives for people to pay more money.

For example, while the £60 tier nets backers two copies of the book, forking out £250 will let you spend an hour chatting on Zoom with the project's author, Dominik Diamond, during which he'll read extracts from the book, tell you unpublished anecdotes and more.

Have £1,500 burning a hole in your pocket? Well, er.

"Dominik will meet you outside season two filming location Kempton Steam Museum wearing some form of red jacket," the copy reads.

"You and Dominik will smoke a cigarette together outside, as the crew would do during filming, have a tour around the museum, and then head for a drink in a nearby pub. Later, you will head to Kempton Park Racecourse, where Dominik will put a £10 bet for you on the horse with the rudest name running that day."

Travel isn't included, mind. Tight bastards.

Meanwhile, the highest tier clocks in at £5,000, and will see GamesMaster team member Dave Perry tattooing you, among other things.

Wow.

GamesMaster: The Oral History is a behind-the-scenes look at the iconic British TV show that ran between 1992 and 1998.
