Back 4 Blood has been delayed to October

Turtle Rock Studios has delayed Back 4 Blood into fall.

Back 4 Blood has been delayed to October 12. The game was originally slated to release on June 22.

According to Turtle Rock Studios, the team needs more time to make it the best it can possibly be upon release.

To that end, an open beta will be held this summer. A closed alpha kicked off back in December.

Developed by the folks who brought you Left 4 Dead, the cooperative first-person shooter pits you against the Ridden, the once-human hosts of a deadly parasite. Humanity’s extinction is on the line, so it’s up to you and your friends to eradicate the Ridden.

You can also play against friends in PVP by becoming a Cleaner, one of the immune survivors, with special perks or switch sides and play as the Ridden. There's a “roguelike” card system that creates different experiences each and every time, putting you in control to craft custom decks, roll different builds and undertake more demanding fights.

It is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
