Important Black Ops Cold War update makes it possible to see equipped weapon attachments at a glance

One small tweak that will make a huge difference to players.

A new update to Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War makes it easier to see what weapon attachments you have attached.

Developer Treyarch announced the tweak as part of its patch yesterday (Thursday March 11), saying that the weapon icons displayed in the Create-a-Class menu will now feature the various peripherals you have added to your gun. Before, the preview icon only showed the default weapon model, no matter what attachments the player had equipped.

It's a small thing, but will no doubt make a huge difference to folks playing Activision's shooter.

Last month, Warzone developer Raven Software also made some tweaks to the Cold War guns appearing in the battle royale title. The studio rolled back some changes it had made, taking back a number of attachments like suppressors back to "their former glory."

The patch also sees the introduction of a St Patrick's Day celebration, with a new Stockpile mode available between March 11 and March 18.

Earlier this month, Treyarch introduced Rapid Fire Moshpit into Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. This is a playlist of the game's smallest 6v6 maps, which translates to a lot of carnage. The studio also fixed a load of performance problems that Season 2 of the shooter faced at the end of February.
