Guilty Gear Strive may get another beta ahead of delayed released date

Guilty Gear Strive developer Arc System Works announced earlier this week that the fighting game was getting pushed back to June – but it may at least get another beta.

After the developer posted a note to Twitter, explaining online lobbies and server stability need work – hence the delay – the studio has now noted that the game may get another beta ahead of launch to check everything is working as it should do.

During the New Game+ Expo, Arc System Works noted that another beta test is being considered with improvements in line with what the developer would want from the final code (thanks, AnimeFGCNews).

“Since we have received valuable feedback after the recent open beta test, we would like to make the most of this opportunity to provide the best game possible," said Arc System Works when the delay was first announced.

"We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as the online lobbies and the server’s stability. We believe it best to use the extra time to improve the game’s quality and provide a better experience to all our players. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

The game's first beta proved particularly beta, but players' patience may be starting to wear thin – this isn't the first time the game has been delayed; it already got pushed back from the end of last year to April.

When it does arrive, though, Guilty Gear Strive will arrive on PC, PS4 and PS5.
