Elite Dangerous: Odyssey PC alpha dated, new trailer shows off pre-alpha gameplay

Have look at some Elite Dangerous: Odyssey gameplay ahead of the alpha.

Frontier Developments have announced the PC alpha for the Elite Dangerous: Odyssey game expansion will start on March 29.

In anticipation of the alpha, the studio has released a video showing an Odyssey mission playthrough, which features gameplay captured from a raid mission.

The video shows a team of three Commanders in an on-foot raid of a military outpost. Their objective: to disable the power center and render the opposing faction powerless.

All three Commanders in the incursion team are specially equipped for their assigned role, and their tactical gear "grants them an edge" in their assigned tasks. These tasks can include infiltrating the base avoiding detection, laying down covering fire should the alarm be raised, hacking, or extracting a teammate from a bad situation.

Elite Dangerous: Odyssey releases on PC in late spring 2021. Releases on PS4 and Xbox One are planned for the fall. If you pre-order, you will secure access to the alpha via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Frontier Store.

Frontier Developments provided the first glimpse of Elite Dangerous: Odyssey at The Game Awards 2020.
