People are glitching twice the number of players into Destiny 2's raids

Aliens are probably getting their asses kicked by super-sized fireteams.

Destiny 2 players have figured out a way to get 12 guardians into PvE activities rather than the regular six.

As shown in a video by YouTuber Scrub - and spotted by PCGamer - users can now get double the number of players into a raid or other PvE activity, meaning that they can, um, absolutely destroy whatever foes stand in their way.

In order to pull off the glitch, players need to form two fireteams, one with five players, the other with seven. Whoever is leading the seven-person fireteam clicks to join the smaller group and is asked whether they want to bring the rest of their squad with them. The leader of the five-person team then launches whatever activity they want to do, but when the timer to launch the game hits two seconds, the larger squad lead clicks to join the smaller fireteam and bring their teammates with them.

Developer Bungie is aware of the issue, with senior community manager Dylan "dmg04" Gaffner tweeting about it. There's no word on when - or whether - the studio is going to fix this exploit.

Recently the studio announced that the next big expansion for Destiny 2 - The Witch Queen - has been delayed into 2022. It also seems like we can expect some kind of a fan event from Bungie, with the studio filing a trademark for something called BungieCon.
