Neon White is an action platformer about exterminating demons in Heaven

Today during the Nintendo Direct presentation, Annapurna Interactive and Ben Esposito revealed Neon White, a first-person action platformer about exterminating demons in Heaven.

Developed by the creator of Donut County, Neon White follows a hand-picked assassin from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a chance to live permanently in Heaven.

Since True Believers can’t kill anyone, White and other Neons have been tasked with dealing with an evil demon infestation. Using magic playing cards that transform into weapons, they will compete with one another for a chance to win the Mechanical Halo, a device that will allow them to stay indefinitely.

A light card-based combat system is used in the game, and each Soul Card represents a limited-use weapon that can be discarded to activate a special movement ability such as dash, jump, and stomp.

New cards will be revealed by defeating demons or finding them in treasure chests. Assassins must balance using Soul Cards as attacks or discarding them for movement abilities. You will also compete for the best times by combining cards to discovering shortcuts.

Neon White is coming to Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam later this year.
