It looks like there's a Fortnite Tron crossover coming

Follows the battle royale teaming up with other 80s classics like The Terminator and The Predator.

It sure seems that cult classic film series Tron is the next pop culture thing Fortnite is doing a thing with.

That's going by a video on the battle royale's official Twitter account, which has a character finding a very old computer that... eventually scans him into the hardware after saying "Make yourself comfortable." That sure sounds like Tron to me!

This follows Fortnite news account HypeX posting images of an area called Mainframe Portal which was data mined from the game. Again, this looks a lot like Tron's The Grid.

Much like the Gangnam Style dance – which also recently made its debut in Fortnite as an emote – Tron originally came out well before the average gamer playing Epic's battle royale title was born.

The first film in the series debuted in 1982 ahead of its 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy. Stop what you are doing right now and go listen to The Game Has Changed right here. Here's a link for the song on Spotify. You're welcome.

Back in 2016, an endless runner based on the cult classic film called Tron Run/r debuted for Steam Early Access, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Tron is just the latest in a long line of pop culture icons that Fortnite has attracted, following in the footsteps of The Terminator's Sarah Connor and T-800, and The Predator.
