Gorgeous souls-like Black Myth: Wukong gets impressive new gameplay trailer

Here's another look at Game Science's upcoming ambitious release.

A new trailer for Black Myth: Wukong has dropped and hoo boy does it look like a blast.

This new video shows off some impressive gameplay for the upcoming souls-like title, such as our monkey hero fighting a bunch of flying dudes. We also get a look at our hero fighting some larger than life bosses, including a big demon with horns and.... You know what, just watch the trailer. It'll be better than me trying to describe it.

The video also shows off the variety of attacks we can expect to wield when this game eventually launches. Our protagonist wields a variety of physical weapons but also can appear to be able to do magic attacks too, such as being able to freeze enemies in place.

Black Myth: Wukong is based on the classic Chinese story Journey to the West and has players taking on the role of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. The title has been built on Unreal Engine 4 and is currently slated for a 2023 release date.

There's no word on what platforms it'll be launching on, but given that launch date, our money is on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, at least.

Back in August 2020, we picked it as one of our favourite indie projects of the week.
