Bungie is reworking some of Destiny 2's older Exotics

Bungie is reworking some of the older Exotics with Season of the Chosen.

According to the developer, the team plans to "shake up" the Aeon suite of Exotics in Destiny 2.

For starters, the Aeon Cult Exotic armor pieces will have their own, unique mod socket and mods. These will be unlocked as soon as you acquire the Exotic, and each is tied to one of the different Aeon Cult roles.

The mods are identical across the Exotics for all three classes.

Each of these mods has one perk which will focus on the user, and one on allies. The second perk includes an "extra benefit" for anyone on the team that has not chosen the same role.

The three Aeon Cult mods, and their associated mechanics, are as follows:

Season 13, or Season of the Chosen as it's called, begins on February 9 with the weekly reset across all platforms, and runs until May 11.

The story focuses on the Cabal as Empress Caiatl is seeking an alliance with humanity. But, that doesn't work out, and a war erupts with the Last City.

Season 13 also introduces Battlegrounds, it sees the return of two classic Strikes, a new Strike called Proving Grounds, new gear, over 25 weapons, and the Praefectus armor set and Ticuu’s Divination Exotic bow.
