The Steam Lunar New Year Sale kicks off in February

Steam's next big sale has had its date leaked.

2021's first Steam sale is going to be the Lunar New Year Sale. That's according to Steam Database, which also revealed that the upcoming sale kicks off February 11, and goes on for just five days until February 15.

As you might have guessed, this sale celebrates the Chinese New Year, which begins on February 12.

As is always the case with these leaks, the dates come from a Steam developer, whom Valve shared the information with. Valve never announces sale dates to the public ahead of time, but the company communicates them to Steam developers to help them arrange sales for their games.

The Lunar Sale is not among Steam's biggest, so don't expect anything massive. That said, Valve typically highlights games made by Chinese and other Asian developers during it, so you may get a good deal on a curious-looking Chinese game you've been eyeing.
