Fall Guys could be coming to Xbox and Game Pass

Emphasis on "could".

It looks like colourful and chaotic multiplayer game Fall Guys could be making its debut on Xbox.

Well. It might be. The Fall Guys Twitter account replied to a tweet from Xbox UK about recommending releases in its Game Pass subscription service asking if they could play. It's possible this is a hint that Mediatonic's game is set to come to Xbox consoles, as well as Microsoft's Game Pass platform.

Fall Guys launched back in August 2020 for PlayStation 4 and PC.

By the end of the month, the game had sold more than seven million copies on Steam alone and had become the most-downloaded PlayStation Plus game of all time. Research firm SuperData also reported that Fall Guys made $185 million on launch on PC alone, making it the most profitable digital PC release since 2016's Overwatch.

By the end of September, Fall Guys had shifted more than ten million units on Steam.

While the game has been hugely successful and lucrative for developer Mediatonic, Fall Guys was pitched to – and turned down by – ten different publishers before Devolver Digital stepped up to back the multiplayer title.

At last count – in September of last year – Microsoft also announced that Xbox Game Pass boasted more than 15 million subscribers, a 50% increase on the 10 million the service had in April 2020.
