Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be your free game on the Epic Games Store next week

You read the headline right.

Next week on the Epic Games Store, you will be able to claim Star Wars Battlefront 2: Celebration Edition as your own to keep forever. Free of charge, obviously.

This edition of the game contains the complete collection of customization content acquirable through in-game purchases from launch up to – and including – items inspired by The Rise of Skywalker. In other words, you will get more than two years’ worth of free content updates along with the complete collection of customization content.

This week, the free game is RPG strategy rouge-like Crying Suns.

In it, you play as a space fleet commander, a clone of Admiral Ellys Idaho, exploring a mysteriously fallen empire. Inspired by Dune and Foundation, each successful run will uncover the truth about the Empire. You can expect plenty of space exploration in a procedurally-generated universe, tactical fights between battleships and fleets, over 300 possible story events, and six chapters of story.

Hopefully, you were able to claim the plethora of free games Epic Games Store handed out over the holidays.

The gift bonanza saw the store hand out 15 free games over as many days. If you were paying attention to the daily drops, you were able to claim Cities: Skylines, Alien: Isolation, Torchlight 2, Metro 2033, Jurassic World Evolution, The Long Dark, Darkest Dungeon, Night in the Woods, and others.
