New Outriders trailer introduces you to the Mantras of Survival

A new video for Outriders gives you a crash course on how to be a general badass.

Last night during The Game Awards, Square Enix revealed a new trailer for Outriders, the RPG-shooter from People Can Fly. The studio is responsible for Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm.

The new trailer introduces you to the Mantras of Survival, which is a guide to help you thrive as a "hyper-evolved" Human on the planet of Enoch.

Here's a quick rundown of what's covered in the video:

  • Powers on Tap – Dominate the battlefield with destructive powers. Cooldowns are short and powers are there to be used often, so don’t rely on just bullets.
  • Kill to Heal – All Outriders heal through doing damage. There are no medkits, syringes, or health regen on Enoch. Aggression is key to surviving and thriving in the heart of battle.
  • Cover’s for Cowards – Cover won’t save you, it can only buy you time. Select your most powerful loadouts and dive headfirst into combat.
  • Think Aggressive – A guiding philosophy for survival. Confidence is everything on the battleground of Enoch, and an aggressive playstyle is a key ingredient to success.

The game will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 2, and on Google Stadia later in 2021.

The game will feature cross-play compatibility across all formats, and players who purchase the game on current-gen consoles will be able to upgrade from PS4 to PS5 for free. To upgrade PS4 disc copies, players will need a PS5 console with a disc drive.

Players can also upgrade from Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S for free with Smart Delivery.
