For those hoping to hear from Halo Infinite soon, it seems like your wait may go on a little longer yet.
Since Halo Infinite‘s delay, developer 343 has been radio silent. The game was meant to be out last week alongside the launch of the Xbox Series X/S but Master Chief sadly couldn’t make it to the next generation just yet.
Fans are now clamouring for when we might hear more on the game. Many have been proposing we might catch a glimpse at The Game Awards on December 10. The show has a long history of big announcements, even revealing the Xbox Series X last year.
However, 343 has come out and tempered expectations. Speaking on a Reddit post speculating the games’ appearance at The Game Awards, Halo community director Brian Jarrad said the wait will go on. He said: “Full disclosure we don’t have anything planned for the VGAs, but are hoping to offer at least a high-level update within the next few weeks so we can kind of restart this journey together after the holidays.”
Adding, “Pulling together something like a demo or big beat for the VGAs is an enormous amount of work and would cause challenges with current milestones of the holidays.”
Jarrad went on to ask for patience from the community while the team could “get the train rolling again.”
However, here’s hoping that the game does reappear early next year and the hard work the team has been putting in pays off.
