CD Projekt shows off Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X

Is this game not out yet?

Polish games giant CD Projekt has given us a look at what its upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 will look like on the newly-launched Xbox Series X.

In the latest episode of Night City Wire, the studio showed what the eagerly-anticipated sci-fi RPG would look like running on both Microsoft's new and super-powered Xbox Series X – via backwards compatibility – as well as its last-gen Xbox One X.

In a press release after the event, CD Projekt said that it will be showing off Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation consoles in another gameplay video set to launch in the future.

Cyberpunk 2077 is slated to launch on December 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google's Stadia streaming service following a three-week delay. On release, the game will be playable on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility, with a full version of the title coming to these machines later down the line.

One thing is for certain – Cyberpunk 2077 is seemingly huge and will be shipping on two Blu-ray discs on PlayStation 4.

The Xbox Series X and Series S consoles launched on November 10, with Microsoft claiming that it had sold more consoles in that 24 hour period than any other. Sony's PS5, meanwhile, has had a staggered release, launching in some regions on November 12 and in others on November 19.
