An unnerving new glitch has children towering over gruff Viking warrior, Eivor, in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been impressing since its launch, but a new bug may leave players a little intimidated. Players are reporting that a glitch in the game is changing children into adult-sized versions of themselves.

The Assassin’s Creed franchise is no stranger to glitches. From faces with… well, no faces in Assassin’s Creed Unity to a slew of other famous visual glitches, the series is never far from serving up something unintentionally funny, or potentially terrifying.

Today, we are in the ‘potentially terrifying’ column. It appears that for some players, children are growing past the size of adults and towering over the game’s protagonist, Eivor. The bug was noted by former VG247 deputy editor, Kirk McKeand on Twitter, who shared an image of the oversized ‘Anglo-Saxon Child’.

Confirming the glitch was more than just a one-off, Sayem Ahmed, who reviewed the game for VG247, also ran into the same problem in the same quest.

The issue seems to be localized to this one NPC and it’s clear it’s affecting a small handful of players. While hardly game-breaking, it’s another fun addition to the Assassin’s Creed glitch pile.

Outside of this though, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been getting rave reviews, pleasing long-time fans of the series with many are calling it one of the best in the series. The title has certainly helped bolster the next-generation console line-up, giving players a huge RPG to get lost in with their new hardware.
