Those Silent Hill PS5 reboot rumours are reportedly "credible"

Those rumours about a new Sony-made Silent Hill might be a bit more on the money than previously thought.

That's according to Kinda Funny's Imran Khan, who recently said on a podcast that those reports were "credible."

"If Sony's also making a Silent Hill – which we don't know that they are, those are just rumours – I would assume that Sony's not part of [Kojima's project], if they're making a separate, Silent Hill-like game, but who knows? The industry's been weirder than that," he said.

That being said, he does say that he doesn't have direct knowledge of what the developers rumoured to be working on this new Silent Hill are actually doing that.

"I think the rumours are credible and I know that the people who are rumoured to be involved in Silent Hill are working on something," Khan said.

Rumours appeared earlier in the year that there were two upcoming Silent Hill games in the works. One was going to be a reboot of the horror franchise, with Sony's Japan Studio co-developing the project, while another title was going to be more in the vein of the cancelled Silent Hills.

At the time, Konami said that these rumours were not true, but in August of this year, it seemed that the Japanese publishing firm was hinting at impending Silent Hill news.
