Kojima Productions is working on its next game

Death Stranding developer Kojima Productions has started work on another title.

That's according to the studio's audio director, Ludvig Forsell, who posted on Twitter that he had been recording for the first time during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic for an "undisclosed project." Furthermore, the sound specialist said that he was "super happy with the results."

Kojima Productions is also hiring for this new game, advertising programmer, artist, game and sound design, writer, project manager and producer roles on its Twitter account.

There's no word yet on what Hideo Kojima's next project will involve, but the Metal Gear creator has fuelled speculation with posts on social media that the team is working on a follow-up to last year's Death Stranding. Kojima has said that if he ever did do a sequel to that game, it would have to be a fresh start.

Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead fame has said that he will work with Kojima again after playing and lending his likeness to Death Stranding's main character, Sam Porter Bridges. Whether or not he will have a penis in a potential follow up is yet to be seen.

That title launched for PlayStation 4 in November 2019, before coming to PC in July of this year. In our review for Death Stranding, we described the title as interesting, very pretty, but also incredibly dull.

It was development veteran Kojima's first project following his rather dramatic departure from Japanese publisher Konami in 2015. The new Kojima Productions was established at the end of that year with the backing of PlayStation maker Sony Interactive Entertainment. This venture was staffed by many Metal Gear Solid veterans.

As well as more games, Kojima has said that he would love to work on other mediums, including manga, anime and movies.
