PS5 accessories will also also be available early in the US

You'll be able to pick up a DualSense controller before you can buy a PS5.

Sony has confirmed that the PS5 DualSense controller, camera, headset, media remote and all of the other official peripherals will be available for sale in the US beginning October 30.

This is similar to the early rollout in the UK, where they will be available starting November 12.

Sony emailed customers who placed pre-orders directly at its stores, such as this one @Djmikeradio received (ignore the details field). The same information is also available on the websites of certain retailers, though some still have the console's official launch date as the accessories' release date.

This isn't entirely surprising, of course. PS4 had its peripherals also made available a week ahead of launch in November 2013. The same is true for Xbox Series X/S. Given their size and value, it's almost always easier to ship larger quantities of controllers, cameras and such than it is actual consoles.

In Xbox's case, at least, you'll be able to use the controller on your existing Xbox One console, as well as on PC. The DualSense, however, is a different matter. The controller will likely work on PC, but you may never get to experience its various innovations in haptics and reactive triggers.

Still, it's going to prove very useful for the hardware community, because it means we finally get a proper teardown of every single item on that list early.

We're getting closer to the PS5 launch by the day. The console will be available first on November 12 across the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. The UK, Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia, and South Africa join the fun on November 19.

To help you get a PS5 at launch, we put together a PS5 pre-order guide with a look at retailers worldwide who are more likely to have units. Failing that, you can still pick up a controller or headset while you wait.
