Next Pokemon Go Community Day will be held on October 17, features Charmander

Charmander, the adorable Lizard Pokemon, will be the featured feature for the next Pokemon Go Community Day.

The next Pokemon Go Community Day will take place on Saturday, October 17.

It will kick off at 11am and run until 5pm local time.

During this time, Charmander will be appearing more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one. Evolve Charmeleon during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Charizard that knows Dragon Breath.

There’ll be a one-time-purchasable October Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokeCoins. It features an Elite Charged TM, three Super Incubators, three Star Pieces, and 30 Ultra Balls.

Complete the event-exclusive Timed Research and Field Research tasks to earn Charizard Mega Energy.

For $1, you can pick up the October Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, A Tale of Tails. Rewards for this story will include Charizard Mega Energy. Niantic said to stay tuned for when A Tale of Tails Special Research story goes live. This Special Research will not include an in-game medal.

Niantic said if you take a few snapshots during Community Day you may get a surprise.

Bonuses during the event are 3× Catch Stardust, and Incense lasting three hours.

Charmander was voted in as the next Community Day Pokemon by the community.
