Enter the Gungeon, Gods Trigger free on Epic Games Store, Hitman coming next week

The latest freebies are now available on the Epic Games Store.

Enter the Gungeon and Gods Trigger are both free this week on the Epic Games Store through August 27.

Enter the Gungeon is a "bullet hell" dungeon where a band of folks set out to shoot, loot, roll, and "table-flip." The Dodge Roll Games-developed title tasks players with seeking out the “gun that can kill the past,” while running through dangerous dungeons collecting loot and discovering secrets.

In the game, you will choose a hero and work your way to the bottom of the Gungeon by surviving floors filled with enemies and bosses. You also have chats with merchants and shopkeeps.

A single-player mode is there for loners, but a friend can join in as a Gungeoneer in co-op mode.

Matt had a go with an early version of the game in 2014 and you can read his impressions here. It seems he enjoyed his time with it.

The action rogue-like God’s Trigger is also free this week, and in it, you will dispatch enemies with "speed and precision."  You have various weapons to choose from, selectable special abilities, environmental hazards, and melee attacks at your disposal.

Next week, Hitman and Shadowrun Collection will be free to download and keep through September 3.

Last week's free games were Remnant: From the Ashes and The Alto Collection.
