WB Games Montreal teases possible new Batman game

WB Games Montreal recently posted a teaser video of what could possibly be a brand new Batman game.

The company definitely teased an ambiguous new game announcement. Although it's not necessarily clear what it's going to be, it's not unreasonable to assume it could be the long-rumored, known-but-never-announced Batman game the studio has purportedly been working on - which is apparently a soft reboot.

For now, though, all we know for sure is that it's centered on the word, "Redacted," or, as it's so stylishly spelled in the teaser, "r3dakt3d." Edgy!

The original tweet, posted by the official WB Games Montreal Twitter page, was primarily posted just to steer people towards the real teaser. It had morse code spelling out a URL, which in turn brought players to a new Twitter account called - you guessed it - r3dakt3d.

As you can see in the tweet above, which is the only thing the new page has posted so far, there are various images that briefly flash across the screen. One of the images looks a bit like an owl, which could imply that Batman is due for some fisticuffs with the infamous Court of Owls, who were his primary antagonists in The New 52.

The official r3dakt3d site also has a countdown attached to it, implying that more news is due to arrive tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm BST.

This comes in the wake of news that Warner Bros. appears to have decided to keep its games division.

We'll see more about the new WB Games Montreal game tomorrow, and will likely see something more in line with a proper trailer at DC FanDome on August 22 - during which we will also get a look at Rocksteady's upcoming Suicide Squad game.

We could also get a look at an Injustice 3 reveal given the recent resurgence of the corresponding comic book series.
