Valorant is getting Deathmatch mode tomorrow, new Battle Pass kicks off today

Valorant's Act 2 Battle Pass is kicking off today with the arrival of new content.

Today marks the launch of plenty of new things in Valorant. With the Act 2 patch, not only are players getting a new Battle Pass and new skins, there's also a new mode to look forward to.

Free-for-All Deathmatch is a respawn-enabled, 5v5 mode where everyone gets infinite money, and the only goal is to be the first to reach 30 kills. You won't be able to use agent abilities in this, and everyone spawns with heavy armour pre-equipped.

Spawns also work differently in FFA Deathmatch; rather than spawn back at base, players can redeploy at one of several dynamic spawn points around the map. You'll always spawn with your back to the wall, and not in the vicinity of enemies. To regain health, you'll be able to pick up health packs dropped by dead players.

Another interesting wrinkle to FFA Deathmatch is that there's a UAV that scans for enemies every five seconds, revealing their locations. The mode enters beta tomorrow, August 5. Though it's going to be available for everyone, it won't launch properly until Riot is satisfied with the balance.

The new content continues with the arrival of Killjoy, the game's newest hero.

As for the Battle Pass, it will cost the standard 1,000 VP and come with exclusive weapon skins, sprays, player cards and an assortment of Radianite Points. Alongside all that, Valorant is also introducing a new skin line dubbed Glitchpop. For 2,175 VP a pop (8,700 VP for the bundle), you can get cyberpunk-themed skins for Frenzy, Judge, Bulldog and Odin weapons.
