Cyberpunk 2077 beta invites being sent out are fake, says CD Projekt Red

CD Projekt Red is warning folks that beta invites being sent out for Cyberpunk 2077 are a scam.

Emails are apparently being sent out for a Cyberpunk 2077 beta, and CD Projekt Red says the invites are a scam.

The studio said to keep an eye on the email address to prove its a scam, as the only communication for a beta would come from CDProjektRed.com.

2/2 Same goes for content creators. We always reach out directly from @ cdprojektred com domain. If you are being contacted by a third party claiming to be working with us (an ad agency for example), you can assume it's not genuine.

CD Projekt said in a reply to a Twitter user in the thread it has no plans for a beta.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out on November 19. We recently went hands-on with it, and it’s shaping up to be something very special.
