"The new story of Final Fantasy 7 has only just begun," says Yoshinori Kitase

Development of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 is now in full swing - and according to producer Yoshinori Kitase, "the new story of Final Fantasy 7 has only just begun."

The news comes from Nova Crystallis, who in turn is reporting on a staff interview published by Famitsu from earlier this week. The interview was conducted with several key members of the development team, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 director Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase.

“We know that everyone wants the next installment quickly," said Nomura. "We would also like to deliver it as soon as possible."

"Since we were also able to see the line of quality from the first installment, we hope to make the next installment even better in quality that can make for an even better experience," Nomura said. "We would like to get it out as soon as possible, so please wait for it. I think we can clearly convey the direction when we officially announce the next installment.”'

"The new story of Final Fantasy VII has only just begun," added producer Yoshinori Kitase.

Other snippets from the Famitsu interview include information on certain details of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake's first installment, such as the fact that the Madam M massage scene wasn't allowed to go any further because it likely would have affected the game's age rating.
