Here's our first look at Escape from Tarkov's new map
Escape from Tarkov developer Battlestate has given us a first look at the game's next map.
The next major content update for Escape from Tarkov will add a new location to the game's expanding world. Streets of Tarkov has previously been confirmed to be the game's next map, but this week, we got a glimpse of it.
Shown during the PC Gaming Show, this new trailer shows how starkly more urban this map is compared to the game's other locations. The demo starts off in the street, before the player heads inside a building and through a pharmacy. We then get to see an entirely unique setting within Tarkov as the player moves through an abandoned apartment.
In an interview, studio head Nikita Buyanov confirmed that Streets of Tarkov will be the game's biggest and most detailed location yet. Buyanov also revealed that patch 12.7 will expand the Customs map by about 40%. Following that, another update will overhaul the in-game skills system.
A few days ago, the game's second-ever Twitch drops event kicked off, boosting Escape from Tarkov's viewership on Twitch yet again. It ends a week from now.
As for Streets of Tarkov, the new map does not yet have a release date.
