Call of Duty: Warzone's 200-player modes seemingly coming soon

A Call of Duty: Warzone in-game slip up may have revealed that we're getting closer to playing 200-player modes.

Around the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone, developer Infinity Ward revealed that it had tested the mode with 200 players, as well as squads bigger than three or four, but ended up settling on 150 players.

Co-studio head, Patrick Kelly, also said at the time that the developer will add support for 200 players sometime after launch. Well, it now appears that Season 4 could be when that happens.

@DissolvexD on Twitter shared a screenshot of an introductory message free-to-play Warzone players received over the weekend. Two traditional Modern Warfare multiplayer playlists were available to play for free over the weekend, and that message explained to newcomers what they should expect.

One of the screenshots shown in that message features a mock-up of the game's menu. Instead of the modes we have today, however, it shows options for BR 200, Plunder 200, and the upcoming BR Juggernaut. Only one of those, BR Juggernaut, has been confirmed to be arriving later this season.

Going by previous statements, the launch of 200-player modes is only a matter of when, not if. Even if they don't show up in Season 4, they'll likely be there at some point in the future.
