Cross-play between PS4 and Xbox One comes to Hunt: Showdown

Cross-play between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has come to Hunt: Showdown.

Hunt: Showdown players can now enjoy cross-play between PS4 and Xbox One.

According to Crytek, you can now find partners using both consoles when looking for Random partner.

At present, invites will only work for players when using their own platforms.

When you team up with another person using the same console, it will show the specific platform's icon. So, say you are playing with another Xbox One player, it will show that particular icon. If you are playing on separate systems, it will instead show a controller icon for that person. That way, you will know which platform your partner is using.

Alongside today's cross-play update, comes the release of the 1.3 update for consoles.

Released for PC back in April, 1.3 adds the new time of day, sunset, and a new Blood Bonds Legendary Hunter, the Redneck.

It also adds the new AI variant, Dr. Grunt, who carries a poisoned saw, a new tool called Decoy Fuses, two new legendary weapons, and the weapon rework, Avtomat.

You can look over the full patch notes for the update through the game's official Reddit.
