Despite leaks, The Last of Us Part 2 is an Amazon best-seller worldwide

The Last of Us Part 2 is topping the charts over a month before its release.

Despite the recent leaks and all the controversy they caused, The Last of Us Part 2 remains a very popular game, at least judging by how highly it's been ranking on Amazon's top-seller lists.

Gaming Route found that The Last of Us Part 2 is at or near the top of Amazon's best-selling PS4 game lists across a number of different countries, including the US, UK and France.

Amazon Canada and even Amazon Japan also show it a similar spot on their top-sellers list. This is all for the physical version, of course, which speaks volumes about people's willingness to take a bit of a gamble and not go entirely digital.

The game may yet end up topping the PlayStation Store charts when those are revealed at the end of the month. It's hard to estimate how much, if at all, the negative reaction to the leaks has impacted sales, but I am sure Sony will be monitoring these numbers very closely.

If you plan to get the game, be sure to clear about 100GB of space on your console's drive.

The Last of Us Part 2 is out June 19 on PS4.
