Techland resurrects Hellraid as DLC for Dying Light

Dying Light is getting some new DLC, and it's based on Techland's unreleased first-person fantasy slasher Hellraid.

This paid DLC expansion for Dying Light will expand the game with a dungeon map with new enemies and a variety of new weapons.

While more information on the Hellraid content will be revealed at a later date, Techland provided the following blurb for the DLC:

It all started with an arcade machine survivors found in the Tower’s basement while investigating an odd power outage. None of them could remember seeing this strange device ever before. They moved it upstairs, unaware of its true nature.

The developers also released a teaser trailer, which is slotted below.

Hellraid started life back in 2013 as a hack and slash title. The game featured a single-player narrative, allowing players to battle the demons of Hell by their lonesome or through co-op. The game was originally slated for a 2013 release before being pushed into 2014, and development was put on hold in 2015.

The Hellraid DLC will be released this summer on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
